Department of Medicine/Medical Mission
The MUHC's Department of Medicine/Medical Mission offers state of the art inpatient care in more than 200 beds at the Royal Victoria Hospital and the Montreal General Hospital with four Clinical Teaching Units, a transitional care unit, two short-stay units, and sub-specialty inpatient services in Cardiology, Hematology, Oncology and Respirology.
We offer active inpatient/emergency room consultation services, ambulatory care services (over 200,000 outpatient visits/year) in all our sub-specialties at all three MUHC sites (Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal General Hospital and Lachine Hospital), as well as access to treatments, rapid access evaluations, and procedures via our medical and respiratory day hospitals.
