Public Art at the Glen

Recognizing and celebrating our medical, scientific and artistic legacy now and for the future

The Glen site is home to one of the largest public art collections in the history of the province. This has been made possible thanks to the Government of Quebec’s Ministry of Culture and Communication Politique d’intégration des arts à l’architecture et à l’environnement des bâtiments et des sites gouvernementaux et publics, which indicates that art must be integrated into the architecture and environment of government and public buildings and sites. In this light, the Glen site has eleven artworks, each carefully selected by a different committee, made up of arts professionals and hospital representatives, to best reflect the multifaceted nature of the MUHC’s Glen site.
