Physical and Occupational Therapy
The McGill School of Physical and Occupational Therapy is part of the McGill Faculty of Medicine. The School excels in rehabilitation research, and receives more research funding per faculty member than any other such faculty in Canada. The professional rehabilitation science programs are among Canada's most prestigious, and are recognized internationally. Programs offered are collaborative, and include undergraduate training in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy, as well as advanced studies at the graduate level.
Communication Sciences and Disorders
The School of Communication Sciences and Disorders is a part of the McGill Faculty of Medicine and offers graduate level training in communication sciences and disorders. The goal of the training programs is to develop leading researchers in the field of human communication and disorders, and to train highly qualified professionals in Speech-Language Pathology. A professional MSc (Applied) degree in Speech-Language Pathology is offered, as well as two research degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders (MSc and PhD).
Social Work
Although the McGill School of Social Work is not a part of the Faculty of Medicine, social workers provide important services to MUHC patients and are therefore an integral part of the MUHC community. The faculty and staff are dedicated to excellence and innovation, and the School is a leader in social work research, policy, and practice, both in Canada and internationally. The School offers professional programs at the graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as certificate programs.
School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition
The School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition is the oldest teaching and research institution in Human Nutrition in Canada offering programs leading to BSc, MSc, MSc (Applied) and PhD degrees in Dietetics or Human Nutrition.
