Thirty years after a multiple sclerosis diagnosis that took him completely by surprise, Montrealer Pierre Bérubé speaks with gratitude about his journey. Last fall, Dr. Laura Horowitz, a nephrologist at the MUHC, saw her life change dramatically in less than 48 hours. The diagnosis? Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare and unpredictable autoimmune disease.
