Dr. Marina Klein, Senior Scientist at the RI-MUHC and Director of Research at the Chronic Viral Illness Service of the MUHC, is the new National Director of the CIHR Pan-Canadian Network for HIV/AIDS and STBBI Clinical Trials Research (CTN+). The network will undertake clinical trials to find new ways to prevent, treat and manage HIV and other sexually transmitted and blood borne infections (STBBI), prioritizing a community-based approach to ensure relevant solutions for Canada’s most at-risk populations. Are you familiar with the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program at the Montreal General Hospital (MGH)? Established in 1994, this acute rehabilitation program follows patients from admission to discharge, even those in intensive care. It welcomes around thirty patients admitted to the MGH. The multidisciplinary team (nutritionist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, social worker, etc.) is heavily involved in the patient's day-to-day rehabilitation.
