Orthopedics

Strong collaboration between Orthopedics and Family and Sports medicine specialists for the care and prioritization of patients.

The MUHC holds a leadership position amongst Quebec hospitals for clinical, teaching and research activities in Orthopedics. All surgeons from the department of Orthopedics are also engaged in the MUHC’s tertiary trauma centre.

Innovation

The use of state-of-the-art technology and development of expertise in minimally invasive orthopedic procedures for joint (arthroplasty), sports and spine surgery has resulted in new patentable technology, and in the publication of numerous articles and reviews.
