National Infection Control Week: October 20 to 24

National Infection Control Week is a chance to recognize the vital work being done every day to protect patients, staff, and our community. 

This year’s theme from Infection Prevention and Control Canada — “Bridging Gaps, Building Bridges” — reminds us of the importance of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and consistent infection prevention practices across all care settings. 

We are also highlighting a video produced by Nursing in collaboration with Infection Control that is still relevant today.  It demonstrates the proper steps of hand hygiene. 

Together, let’s keep strengthening infection prevention and control — every day, in every setting.
