MUHC Infection Control team wins at National Conference

Congratulations to Alexandra Hutchins, Bueso Mvutu, and Kathryn Hutchins of the MUHC Infection Control team for winning the Best Poster contest at the National Infection Prevention and Control Conference of Canada, held June 9 to 12 in Newfoundland.  

Their poster was selected as the winner among 75 finalists and addressed the challenges in communication of infection control topics in the Lachine Hospital, Montreal General Hospital, and Glen site (adult) Emergency Departments. It also highlighted their initiative of distributing monthly infection control newsletters over the past seven months.  “This effort has not only streamlined communication but also significantly improved infection control practices within these departments,” says Connie Patterson, Interim Manager, Infection Prevention and Control.
