Directions to the Allan Memorial Institute
By Metro/Bus:
From the East: From the Sherbrooke Metro station (corner of Sherbrooke and Berri), take the 144 bus going west to the corner of Peel and Pine Avenue West.
From the West
From the Atwater Metro station (corner of Atwater and de Maisonneuve) take the 144 bus going east, to the corner of Peel and Dr. Penfield. Walk north up Peel street and cross at the lights at Pine Avenue West. You will be at the mountain, and will see a driveway on your right. Turn right up the driveway and you will arrive at a large greystone building with wooden doors. There is a blue and yellow sign on the left that says “Institut Allan Memorial,” 1025 Pine Ave West.
You may also exit the metro at Peel Metro station (corner of Peel and De Maisonneuve), then walk up the steep three blocks of Peel Street to the driveway entrance at Peel Street and Pine Avenue. Enter the driveway and follow the directions above.
By Car
Street parking is limited, please read posted signs.
Public parking at the site of the former Royal Victoria Hospital is available for a fee. From any highway, follow the signs for downtown and exit at Atwater or Guy. Both will take you to Dr. Penfield, where you will turn left on Peel Street. In one block, you will arrive at Pine Avenue West. Pine is one-way going east, but if you stay in the right-hand lane you can continue straight up the driveway to the parking kiosk.
