Dental Clinics
General Dentistry Clinic
This clinic offers urgent and routine dental care, including minor orthodontic treatment, in an outpatient setting.
Patients are seen by residents who are supervised by practicing dentists and specialists.
Patients may pay less than what would be charged at a private dental office. Fees are based on the recommendations of the Association des chirurgiens dentistes du Québec.
Oral Health Clinic for the Neurodivergent Community (OHCNC)
The OHCNC is also known as the Special Care Dental Clinic. It is unique because it focusses on providing dental care that is adapted to the needs of patients who are neurodivergent, including people who are autistic or intellectually disabled.
The OHCNC team develops individualized treatment plans that include specialized techniques, such as patient-guided sensory integration (PGSI) and nitrous oxide sedation (also called "conscious sedation"). The team’s approach takes into account each patient’s unique situation.
Telehealth consultations are offered to some patients for detailed conversations about treatment plans, diet strategies, oral hygiene coaching, and goal setting in PGSI.
Dental Oncology Clinic
The Dental Oncology Clinic’s role in cancer care is the assessment, management and follow-up of patients undergoing radiation therapy for head and neck cancers.
Routine dental care before and after radiation therapy is done at the Montreal General Hospital and follow-up during radiotherapy is done at the Cedars Cancer Centre at the Glen site.
