Personality Disorders Program

The MUHC’s Personality Disorders Program is made up of three clinics:

  • BPD Psychotherapy Clinic 
  • Specialized Personality Disorders Clinic
  • Complex Care Clinic 

Our clinics provide time-limited outpatient care. Personalized treatment plans are designed to meet the needs of each patient. Wait times vary.

We provide evidence-based care to patients with severe personality disorders, particularly borderline personality disorder (BPD). 

We also promote education for families and loved ones.

Your healthcare provider must send your referral to the Adult Mental Health Access Mechanism (MASMA). MASMA will redirect your referral to the appropriate service.   

You must be:

  • 18 years old or older
  • motivated to make constructive changes in your life  

Note: Patients are directed to one of our clinics after undergoing a full assessment by the Personality Disorders Program. Wait times vary.
