Dr. Lucie Opatrny is awarded the Medal of the National Assembly of Quebec
Our President and Executive Director, Dr. Lucie Opatrny, was awarded the Medal of the National Assembly of Quebec by Désirée McGraw in recognition of her leadership at the MUHC, in the presence of the MNA for her riding, Michelle Setlakwe.

This distinction acknowledges her leadership in the MUHC's transformative changes, including:
- Decarbonation 2040: the MUHC was the first hospital in Quebec to commit to a formal roadmap to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040
- The Research Institute of the MUHC (RI-MUHC | Research Institute of the MUHC | #rimuhc) being the #1 research centre in Québec with rapidly expanding access and volume in clinical trials
- Improving access to care, including the elimination of the pediatric surgical wait list at the Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants | Montreal Children's Hospital in 2025 and many initiatives underway to enhance patient flow
- Vision to encourage and promote innovation with, as examples, co-creation of several AI-driven initiatives with industry partners to improve workflow, patient safety or quality of care.
Congratulations to Dr. Opatrny on this well-deserved recognition and for her leadership at the MUHC.
