Internship Supervision Excellence Week starts at The Neuro
Today marks the launch of the first annual MUHC Internship Supervision Excellence Week!
Established by the Education and Simulation Directorate, this initiative aims to highlight the contribution of all professionals involved in internship supervision. Members of the interprofessional teaching committee, who represent key departments offering internships, also collaborated to reflect the diversity of various disciplines.
Throughout the week, each site will be recognized for excellence in internship supervision. We would also like to thank MUHC staff who work in other settings and who dedicatedly supervise learners outside our hospital sites. In this spirit of celebration, two supervisors or preceptors will be selected each day by random draw to receive a gift card. A training session on providing feedback to interns will also be offered during the week thanks to the support of McGill University.
We begin our celebration with The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital). Since its inception, The Neuro has combined care, research, and training within a shared mission that promotes collaboration between clinicians and researchers. Trainees evolve in a supportive and enriching learning environment.
We warmly thank all those who devote their time and expertise to guiding and mentoring learners. This support helps create a sense of belonging and prepares the next generation.
We invite you to watch these videos, which illustrate the importance of this mentoring.
Did you know? The MUHC brings together an impressive community of people who supervise internships (supervisors, preceptors, associate clinicians, etc.) and who play an essential role in training the next generation across many disciplines (nursing, multidisciplinary services, pharmacy, medical imaging, engineering, IT, administrative services, and more). |
