Dr. Raquel del Carpio Awarded Order of Canada

We congratulate Dr. Raquel del Carpio, who received the Order of Canada from the Governor General on September 18, 2025. 

Dr. Raquel del Carpio is a pioneer in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in Neuroradiology and has trained many radiologists at McGill University hospitals.

“Dr. del Carpio believes strongly in teamwork. With her colleagues and the support of Imaging Technologists at the MUHC, she has achieved excellence in her department,” says Mary-Lynn Walker, Assistant Chief Technologist in Medical Imaging at the Montreal General Hospital (MGH).

Dr. del Carpio is a professor of Radiology at McGill University and a practicing Neuro-Radiologist. She is highly regarded for her patient care and mentorship, guiding hundreds of students in Canada, Latin America, and beyond. Her work has helped put McGill University and Canada at the forefront of neuroradiology worldwide.
