$150,000 Raised at the Lachine Hospital Foundation’s Venetian Ball
Dorval, May 6, 2015 – Nearly 400 people came out to the Marriott In-Terminal Hotel on Saturday, May 2 for the Lachine Hospital Foundation’s Venetian Ball, hosted this year by TVA 22 h anchorwoman Sophie Thibault.
All guests also received a mask upon their arrival as part of the masquerade theme and to add to the fun of the evening.
‘‘We are extremely happy with the success of the Venetian Ball, and wish to thank our sponsors and guests who came out in support of the Foundation,” said Jacques Filion, chairman of the Lachine Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. “With the provincial government’s recent announcement of its commitment to modernize and revitalize the Lachine Hospital, the funds raised tonight will go towards the Foundation’s ongoing mission to provide the best care possible to patients through the purchase of specialized medical equipment and upgrades to the hospital.’’
Special guests included Lachine mayor Claude Dauphin, Dorval mayor Edgar Rouleau, MUHC President and Executive Director Normand Rinfret, MUHC chairman Claudio Bussandri and renowned Canadian fashion designer Frank Lyman.
