Question: The test centre at the Glen hospital is overcrowded. I had to wait nearly 2 hours. Why is the wait so long and what is being done about this?

Answer: It is true the wait times at the test centre have been long at certain times of the day. The test centre has been incredibly busy since the Glen site opened, and is responsible for conducting the tests for a large volume of patients, including those outside of the MUHC. We have been working on solutions over the past few months and are happy to report that significant improvements have already been made. Additional clerical staff have been brought into support the clinic and assist with the patient registration, and as a result we have seen the wait time reduced to around 30 minutes on average.
