Is the new Children’s Hospital as kid-friendly as the old site on Tupper St.?

The new Montreal Children's Hospital was designed with our young patients in mind. Private patient rooms are filled with colour and soothing materials that help reduce stress. Some areas of the hospital, such as medical imaging for example, have colourful ceiling decorations. Special resources, such as playrooms and a modern and spacious Family Resource Centre, are also be available to patients and their families. Beyond the physical building, The Children’s has a team of Child Life Specialists, who are trained professionals with backgrounds in child development, education and related fields; they use a variety of fun, educational and creative techniques to help improve the quality of life for children and their families while they are in the hospital. They continue to organize movie nights, pet therapy, music therapy and cooking programs, among other activities, at our new home at the Glen site.
