Digital scanning

The MUHC Referral Portal only accepts scanned documents. Photos of referrals are not accepted. If you do not have access to a scanner, you can scan your documents digitally using a smartphone or tablet.

This page provides helpful resources and guides to assist you in digitally scanning your documents.

Digital scanning uses the camera on your smartphone or tablet to scan a document. It is different from taking a regular photo. Digital scanning makes the image clearer and easier to read.

Many smartphones and tablets have built-in scanning features. The instructions may vary depending on brand and model. We have listed digital scanning guides for the most popular brands below.

If your device does not have a built-in scanner or is a different brand, there are many digital scanning apps available. Below are some of the most popular apps that work on most smartphones and tablets.

If you are having trouble or need extra help, you can visit the McConnell Resource Centre at the Glen site, right next to the Security desk on the ground floor (RC level). They are available to assist you from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
