The MUHC’s Cardiogenetics Clinic specializes in treating heart diseases that are genetic and can be passed down from one generation to another.
Our programs use cutting-edge methods, and personalized counseling and screening. Our services are tailored to meet the needs of each patient. We see adults and children.

Cardiovascular genetics includes four branches:
- aortopathies, for example Marfan and Loeys-Dietz syndromes
- arrhythmia syndromes, for example Long QT and Brugada syndromes
- familial dyslipidemias, for example familial hyercholesterolemia
- hereditary cardiomyopathies, for example hypertrophic and dilated cardiomyopathy

We provide the following services for each of the four branches of cardiovascular genetics:
- family screening
- genetic counselling
- genetic testing
- medical assessment
- special athletic screening program
