Rates change every April 1st according to a fee schedule established by the Government of Quebec. In accordance with ministerial directives, please note that the MUHC Parking rates will be indexed as of April 1, 2026.

The address of the Glen site is 1001 boul. Décarie, Montreal, QC H4A 3J1.
Please note that repair work on the protective membrane of the underground parking lot at the Glen site will begin on April 12, 2025 and continue until November 15, 2025. This will result in significant changes to traffic flow on the site. Traffic delays are expected.

There are TWO types of parking lots available to hospital visitors:
Interior underground parking lot
To access the interior underground parking lot, follow the roadway that passes directly in front of the hospital entrances until you reach the STOP sign at the end of this road. Turn left, then immediately turn left again and follow the ramp down to the underground parking lot. The display boards provide up-to-the-minute information on the number of available parking spaces on each parking level (P1-P4).
Accessible via Decarie Blvd., the main parking lot is located below the main plaza at the Glen site.
Please note that cars with studded tires are not allowed in our parking.
There are 38 spaces for vehicles with a handicap parking permit on the P1 level.
The MUHC is proud to offer electric car parking spaces at the Glen site
- P1 (facing pediatric emergency entrance) = seven spaces
- P2 (Sector 100) = nine spaces
- P3A (near the Shriner’s entrance via underground parking) = nine spaces
Passes are only valid for the interior underground parking.
Exterior parking lots
There are two exterior parking lots that are meant for quick visits to the hospital.
One is located directly across from the main entrance to the hospital. The second is located past the Cedars Cancer Centre at the entrance to the Research Institute. Payment can be made at the exit of the parking by credit card or debit card at any one of the blue automated payment machines, or at the MUHC Parking Customer Service offices located on the RC level of the Glen.
Passes are not valid for the exterior parking.

Drop off zones
Visitors can stop at the hospital drop-off point or the emergency department drop-off point (follow the red “URGENCE/EMERGENCY” ramp) to drop someone off and then head to the parking lot or leave the premises. For safety reasons, all entrances, exits and streets must be free of traffic. The City of Montreal is authorized to issue tickets to illegally parked vehicles.
Emergency Department parking
To get to the emergency room, follow the red ramp that will take you directly to the door of the department.
- From Boulevard Décarie, turn towards the Glen site and follow the road to the main entrance of the hospital.
- Turn left at the sign “URGENCE / EMERGENCY” and follow the circular road leading to the indoor parking lot. A drop-off area is reserved for Emergency Department visitors. Once you have dropped off or picked up a patient, follow the signs to the indoor visitor parking lot.
For the safety and security of the patients and their family, the speed limit on hospital grounds is 10km per hour.

The address of the Montreal General Hospital (MGH) is 1650 Cedar Avenue, Montreal, Quebec, H3G 1A4. Entrances are located on the North (Cedar Avenue) and South (Pine Avenue) sides of the hospital.
Parking is available on-site in a covered multi-level parking lot. It is accessible from the Pine Ave. and Cedar Ave. entrances.
Please note that vehicles with studded tires are not allowed in the indoor parking.
There are numerous spaces for vehicles with a handicap parking permit on level P14 and near the main entrance on Pine Avenue and Cedar Avenue.

The City of Montreal is permitted to issue parking tickets for vehicles illegally parked on Montreal General Hospital grounds.
Parking level height is 1.8 meters (5 feet 11 inches).
Emergency Department parking
If you are visiting the Montreal General Hospital Emergency Department (ED), enter on Pine Ave. to access the parking lot closest to the ED main entrance.

The main entrance of The Neuro (Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital) is at 3801 University Street, just above Pine Avenue.
Handicap parking entrances
The Neuro has two (2) handicap-accessible entrances.
On the right side of the street, you will see the handicap accessible entrance.
Through the ambulance entrance at the back of the hospital there are SIX (6) handicap spots.

2. At the top of University Street, after entering the Molson Stadium parking lot, there are SIX (6) handicap parking spots. (Entrance: North Wing L3 building)

How to get the reduced rate for patients and visitors:
Keep the parking ticket you got at the parking entrance.
You must get a proof of appointment or a visit voucher to get the reduced rate. Here’s how:
- If you are a patient, you must ask for a proof of appointment (e.g., an appointment confirmation paper) or a visit voucher from your clinic.
- If you are a visitor, you must ask for a visit voucher from the care unit or the security desk located in Room 157 on the first floor.
Before going to your car, bring your appointment proof or visit voucher and parking ticket to the parking booth. You’ll receive a reduced rate ticket.
At the exit stand, insert your reduced ticket to exit.
Directions to the parking lot:
You will need to go to the top of University Street (past The Neuro) and turn right to enter the parking lot.

How to get the reduced rate for patients and visitors:
Keep the parking ticket you got at the parking entrance.
To receive a reduced rate coupon, you can ask:
- the clinics at The Neuro
- the security desk at the Allan Memorial Institute (1025 Pine Avenue West)
You have to mention to the clinic that you are parked at the RVH Legacy parking lot when asking for a coupon.
At the exit stand, insert your reduced ticket to exit.
Directions to the RVH Legacy parking lot:
From any highway, follow the sign for downtown and exit at Atwater or Guy. Both will take you to Dr. Penfield where you will turn left on Peel Street and come up to Pine Ave. Pine is a one way going East, but you will stay in the right hand lane and when the light changes continue right up the driveway where you will be given a ticket to enter the parking.
Drop off zones
There are two drop off zones:
- The Neuro’s main entrance on University Street
- the entrance to Molson Stadium (North Wing L3 building entrance)
After dropping off passengers, vehicles must either proceed to the parking lot or leave the area. Waiting in the drop-off zones is not allowed. All entrances, exits, and roads must remain clear for safety. The City of Montreal may issue tickets to vehicles parked illegally.

Arriving by car
From Autoroute 20, take the 32nd Avenue exit, take 32nd Avenue to Provost, turn left on Provost and then turn right on 16th Avenue.
Parking is available by entering at the 16th Avenue entrance.

Where does parking money go? As per government directives, our parking lots and services are self-financed. Parking revenues are used to repay the cost of construction, maintenance, staffing, etc. Any excess revenues go into the hospital operating budget in order to support patient care, including the purchase of hospital equipment, etc.
