Gestational diabetes: a diabetes predictor in fathers
Dr. Kaberi Dasgupta, MUHC endocrinologist and Research Institute researcher from the Experimental Therapeutics and Metabolism Program, was interviewed by Le Journal de Montréal and Radio-Canada International about a recent study that has demonstrated that gestational diabetes signals future diabetes risk not only in mothers, but also in fathers.
First horse fest a success
As Montreal Gazette recalls, the 2015 edition of Saint-Lazare’s Au Galop horse festival, which ran Friday to Sunday, drew an estimated 10,000 people and collected about $40,000 for the Cedars Cancer Foundation of the MUHC. Thousands of residents, tourists and visitors participated in unique equestrian activities to help raise money for a good cause.
