Shout out to this amazing multidisciplinary medical team for their time and commitment

Today we’d like to give a special shout out to Dr. François de Champlain, emergency physician at the MUHC’s Montreal General Hospital, and to his amazing multidisciplinary medical team for participating in the famous Montreal Marathon that took place this past weekend.

For a third consecutive year, Dr. de Champlain’s team organized a temporary clinic onsite to ensure the care of runners as they crossed the finish line. The team, who did a fantastic job, consisted of 6 emergency physicians, 12 resident physicians, 15 nurses, 3 respiratory therapists, 2 laboratory technicians, a biochemist, a pharmacist, as well as an emergency volunteer.

Thanks to their presence, hundreds of runners who needed immediate assistance were able to benefit from their care without having to be transported to a hospital.

We’d like to give them a big thank you for their time and commitment!
