BREAST(S): A different kind of cancer story

Eight women—aged 26 to 60—show their resilience in the face of breast cancer during a light-hearted photo shoot…Women who could be your sister, your mother, your girlfriend, your partner or yourself.

BREAST(S) emerged from the creative collaboration between two friends, Jenn Pocobene (stylist) and Lili Sohn (illustrator and breast cancer survivor), with the desire to fight the disease while remaining positive. Wearing scarves to symbolize hair loss during chemotherapy, eight women reclaim their femininity by wearing colourful outfits as they pose for Julia Marois’ camera. Along with each photo, the women share an anecdote or intimate moment illustrated by Lili Sohn.
