Neuro teams face off in CPR challenge
The MUHC Interprofessional Simulation Centre’s (MUHC i-SIM) annual CPR Challenge, held last November during CPR Month, was a big success. This time, the MUHC i-SIM took its competition to The Neuro.
Simulation Manager and event organizer Geneviève Rhéaume says teams from all over the hospital took part. The group from the Intensive Care Unit took first place. The Neurology residents came in second, and participants from 3 East and the Physiotherapy Department tied for third. The winners all received prizes supplied by the MUHC Foundation.

“A heartfelt thank you to the MUHC Foundation and to all their generous donors, whose support ensures the growth and visibility of our Interprofessional Simulation Centre and the continuation of the annual CPR Challenge,” said Geneviève.
CPR is an emergency procedure done when someone’s heart stops beating or slows down too much. Starting CPR early when someone is in cardiac arrest greatly increases the odds a person will survive. Many local organizations offer CPR training. Learn where you can sign up for a course.
