The hospitals of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) lower their flags in memory of the 215 children whose remains were found on the grounds of a residential school in Kamloops. The discovery is a painful reminder of a shameful past that we must never forget and must strive to heal with concrete actions. To that end, the MUHC pledges to work with members of the Indigenous community it serves and colleagues in the health and social services network to make access to and care within hospitals, equitable, safe and welcoming.
