The Crescendo Program

Jointly developed by the MUHC, the ISoN and the CIUSSS of West Island of Montreal, the Crescendo program, runs from October 2024 to April 2025, and aims to promote, through mentorship and remunerated simulation sessions, the graduation and retention rates of nurses both at school and at work.

The program is aimed at 95 potential candidates who are both ISoN students and MUHC employees. It is linked to their leadership course during the winter term.

The pairs will be:

• A mentor: DEC-BAC student and nurse or CÉP at the MUHC
• A mentee: bachelor’s student in nursing sciences and extern

Mentors will enhance their skills to:

• Exercise leadership, delegate, and communicate
• Lead, support, and inspire  
• Share clinical expertise and provide guidance

The mentees will develop their skills in:

• Clinical and interpersonal areas
• Communication, active listening, and time management
• Networking
