Changes to parking rates and ticket validation at the Express outdoor parking lots

Effective November 1, 2026, the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) will introduce a new parking ticket validation process at Express Outdoor Parking Lots 1 and 2 at the Glen site. This measure is intended to prioritize these spaces for patients and their visitors while making it easier for eligible users to access the reduced parking rate.
How to access the reduced parking rate
Eligible patients and visitors must have their parking ticket validated before paying for parking. To do so, they can visit one of the Parking Services offices on the ground floor between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and present proof of their appointment.
Once their ticket has been validated, they will be eligible for the reduced rate set by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS), in accordance with the applicable rules.
Why is this change being introduced?
This new procedure will help ensure that the reduced rate is applied appropriately to eligible patients and visitors, while improving the availability of parking spaces near the hospital’s main entrances.
It is also part of the MUHC’s efforts to align its practices with those of several other healthcare institutions across Quebec.
