Celebrating National Pharmacy Technicians Day

On National Pharmacy Technicians Day, we recognize the invaluable contributions of Pharmacy Technicians (PTs) and Pharmacy Technical Assistants (PTAs) at the MUHC. These professionals play an essential role in delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centred care, ensuring that every medication is prepared and dispensed with precision. 

In Quebec, the pharmacy profession is evolving. PTAs at the MUHC can now advance their careers and become PTs through continuing education. This shift will enable PTs to assist patients with medication administration and verify IV doses, allowing pharmacists to focus more on patient care and collaboration with doctors. 

Today, we honor the PTs and PTAs at the MUHC. Their work is vital to the success of the entire pharmacy team, and their contributions are deeply appreciated by both patients and staff.
