Andréa Laizner honoured at the National Assembly

We are proud to recognize the tribute paid to Andréa Laizner at the National Assembly on February 10, 2026, honouring her more than 50 years of nursing service at the MUHC.

Throughout her career, Andréa Laizner has led and mentored numerous research and knowledge transfer projects, notably in psycho-oncology, critical care, and women’s health. She has trained, supported, and shared her expertise with generosity and rigor, playing a decisive role in advancing evidence-based practices.
 


"It was an immense source of pride for me, as Director of Nursing, to see a nurse who has contributed so much to the quality of nursing care at the MUHC — and to the advancement of the profession as a whole — being recognized at the National Assembly," says Alain Biron.
