Chronic pain clinic: Latest addition to the MUHC website

Check out the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit’s (AEPMU) new section on the MUHC website! The pages highlight the services available and the team of specialists working together to improve the lives of patients living with chronic pain. 

“Comprehensive pain management is about more than just medicine: it’s about understanding, empowering and treating the whole person,” explains Dr. Mark Ware, former director of the AEPMU. A recent LaPresse article featured in MUHC in the Media explains how psychotherapy is being used at the AEPMU to help manage pain in certain patients.  

The new section on the MUHC website provides helpful resources for patients living with chronic pain and their families, as well as contact information for the clinic. Patients who have a referral can submit their request for an appointment through the MUHC Referral Portal.
