A leading urologic oncologist and researcher takes the helm
Source: Med E-News. A leading urologic oncologist and researcher, Dr. Armen Aprikian, has been appointed Clinical Lead for the Rossy Cancer Network (RCN). Dr. Aprikian, a senior scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre, took over from Dr. Wilson H. Miller Jr., who has served in this role since 2014, on July 1. Dr. Aprikian takes the helm of the organization with a new vision and drive for implementing quality of care across the McGill-affiliated cancer centres. He brings to the role an extensive understanding of the RCN’s evolution and its legacy projects.
The RCN is a partnership of McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine, the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), the Jewish General Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital Center, dedicated to improving the quality of cancer care through multi-hospital quality improvement initiatives and the funding of quality of care research. Dr. Aprikian was one of the leaders of the RCN’s four original work streams in 2012 and has been a founding member of the new RCN Executive Committee since 2014, closely involved with the development of its initiatives.
