In the works

A ninth crane was erected on the site for work on Block B, and a tenth will be put up in the next few weeks for Block A. Blocks A and B will house the children's hospital. All of the Glen Campus tower cranes are used to handle formwork and reinforcement materials, as well as the concrete used for building construction.

Over the next few months, workers will be finishing up concrete work for the adult hospital buildings, the Cancer Centre, the Research Institute of the MUHC and the Children's Hospital.

Over 88% of the piles are already installed and work is progressing well to complete all piles for Blocks A and B. There will remain a small number to be driven at a later date for the radiotherapy bunkers, in a section between Blocks D and E.

The access road along the railway track, intended to provide motorists and pedestrians with access to the project office, is finally complete and the pedestrian path is now paved.
