The MUHC Glen Campus: driving change
The Chambre de commerce is delighted to launch its 2011 program with a luncheon conference on a major project underway in South-West Montreal: the Glen Campus of the McGill University Health Centre. Join us at 11:30 on Tuesday, February 8, to learn all about this massive development project. The conference will be held at Hotel Espresso, 1005 Guy Street, Montreal.

The largest hospital project in Canada
The McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) is undertaking a renewal project worth $2.25 billion at its Glen, Mountain and Lachine campuses in order to offer the “best care for life.” Since June 2010, hundreds of trucks and workers have taken over the Glen Campus, one of Canada’s largest hospital construction sites, situated where South-West Montreal, Notre- Dame-de-Grâce-Côte-des-Neiges, and Westmount intersect. The project constitutes a key lever for revitalization and a magnet for both public and private investments in the sector.

Pierre E. Major, the MUHC’s Associate Director, Facilities Development and Construction, Redevelopment Project, will address members of the Chambre and their guests on the project, which will change the face of South-West Montreal. Mr. Major will be joined by Charles Chebl, Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Buildings Group, SNC-Lavalin Construction Inc.

Registration is $40 for members and $55 for non-members. RSVP required, either via e-mail to [email protected] or by calling the head office of the Chambre de commerce at 514-365-4575.
