MUHC hosts first international ISAI conference on the Canadian health care system (2008)
THE CANADIAN HEALTH SYSTEM COMES OF AGE. A framework for 21st century care. Welcome to the first annual conference of the Institute for Strategic Analysis and Innovation(ISAI) of the McGill University Health Centre (May 28-29, 2008)
The aim of this conference was to focus on some of the key points of contention blocking change and innovation in the Canadian health system. We invited leading Canadian authorities on health care policy in this country as well as experts from Europe and the United States to discuss their health care systems. We also looked at four case studies of innovation in health care delivery from New Brunswick, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia.
About the Institute for Strategic Analysis and Innovation (ISAI)
Founded in 2007, the Institute is designed to provide a forum where those who deliver health care on the front lines and other practitioners can engage with policy makers to discuss and debate how our health care system should be adapting to new realities. As a major tertiary care academic hospital, the MUHC sees one of its roles as providing this link between policy and practice. Health Innovation Forum
