Pharmacy
The Department of Pharmacy is affiliated with the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Université de Montréal, as well as several cegeps and technical schools.
Internships offered at the MUHC meet the objectives of the schools while also aiming to meet the needs of patients in terms of pharmaceutical services.
Master's in Advanced Pharmacotherapy residents (MPA):
- management project
- workshop facilitation
- participation in simulation sessions
Pharmacy students (Université de Montréal STOP internship):
- development of a bilingual glossary of key acronyms/abbreviations of medical terms to be used in clinical internships
- creation of a user's guide to promote optimal and safe use of medication
Pharmacy technical assistants (ATP):
- observation and support for PTAs in the various areas of the medication circuit
- introduction to aseptic techniques and preparation of sterile products
Pharmacy technicians:
- observation and support for pharmacists in various clinical areas
- work organization (DVCC, prescription pre-validation, quality control, etc.)
- creation of an automated register for a high-performance machine park

At this time, we do not accept international trainees. The only exceptions are those who come through university exchanges organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Université de Montréal.
