The Continuous Improvement department follows the Lean Six Sigma methodology.
All team members hold a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
Interns have the opportunity to do:
- field diagnosis ("Gemba walk")
- process mapping
- data collection and analysis
- benchmarking of clinical processes
- presentation of solutions or recommendations to clients

Information technology
The Information Technology department is an essential partner in the mission of the MUHC. Its services are available within the MUHC and throughout the Health and Social Services network in areas including:
- application management services
- technological infrastructure
- project management office
- operation and support of the digital learning environment ENA (Environnement numérique d'apprentissage)
Our responsibilities include:
- around-the-clock service for supported applications and systems, responding to more than 45,000 service calls and more than 25,000 service requests each year
- acquisition and management of IT equipment and support for nearly 15,000 users (infrastructure)
- support for clinical and administrative applications, directly and in collaboration with clinical teams
- maintenance of IT infrastructures (telecommunications, network, cybersecurity, helpdesk and technical support, data centres, etc.)
