Transportation inside our hospitals

Volunteers are available to escort you during your visit to the hospital. You can ask for an escort during business hours at any of our main hospital entrances. Please note, our volunteers are not allowed to lift or transfer patients but will be pleased to contact transportation to arrange a transport staff for you.

Transport Staff

Our team of dedicated support staff works with the health care team to lift and transport patients in a safe, respectful, friendly and professional manner. Please ask a volunteer or someone at the information desk to locate a member of our transport staff if required.

Wheelchairs are available at all of our main hospital entrances. If no wheelchairs are available, please ask the information desk or a volunteer to phone the transport department and order a wheelchair to be brought to you.

Access for people with disabilities

We are in the process of improving our access for people with disabilities. This document (available in French only) covers our current action plan.
