Biochemistry Laboratory
The Biochemistry Department of the McGill University Health Centre (Montréal, Canada), under the direction of Dr. Denis Thibeault, PhD, analyzes plasma concentrations of antiretrovirals by liquid chromatography / tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS).
The laboratory participates in two international interlaboratory quality control programs (KKGT, the Netherlands, and Asqualab, France).
The laboratory can also analyze antiretroviral concentrations for research studies.

Interpretation service
The Québec Antiretroviral Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Program has a team of clinical pharmacists, with specialized training and experience in HIV, that interprets antiretroviral concentrations and prepares individualized interpretation reports with pharmacological advice for the treating physicians.
This team of pharmacists also works at the Chronic Viral Illness Service outpatient clinic where they follow patients living with HIV and/or hepatitis C.
Many members of the team are also involved in HIV or hepatitis C-related pharmacokinetic and clinical research.
