Dr Margolese is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at McGill University and Medical Director of PEPP-MUHC.  He is also the Director of both the Schizophrenia Program (EPSSP) and Clinical Psychopharmacology and Therapeutics Unit. He is currently the Program Director of the McGill RCPSC Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology residency program. Dr Margolese’s research interests includes first episode psychosis and pharmacotherapy of schizophrenia. He is either a PI or co-investigator for several clinical research trials. He has given numerous lectures and presentations both nationally and internationally and published over 90 articles. He is the President of the Canadian Consortium for Early Intervention in Psychosis (CCEIP) for the 2025-2027 term. In his clinical work, Dr Margolese specializes in first episode psychosis, treatment-resistant schizophrenia and psychopharmacology consultation of treatment resistance or complex psychopharmacology regimens. 

Dr Desmarais completed her medical degree, and Psychiatry and Clinical Pharmacology residencies at McGill University. She is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at McGill University. Dr Desmarais is the Director of Psychiatric Emergency Services of the McGill University Health Centre. Her clinical work comprises the evaluation and treatment of patients with first episode psychosis, chronic psychotic disorders or requiring urgent psychiatric intervention. She also has an interest in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.

Dr Morris completed his M.A. and PhD in Counselling Psychology from McGill University. He is a registered psychologist with the Order of Psychologists of Quebec (OPQ).  

Dr. Morris has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including the MUHC Addictions Unit, along with schools, university counselling centres, and private clinics. He has an active private practice and began working in PEPP in 2021.  

Through these varied roles, he has obtained a high degree of skill in treating a wide range of psychological problems, including substance abuse, psychosis, binge eating, low self-esteem, borderline personality, anxiety disorders, and depression.   

Marie-Joëlle Bédard has been working in mental health with the adolescent population since 2012 at the Montreal Children's Hospital. From the first Quebec cohort of nurse practitioners specializing in mental health, she is a pioneer both by her professional role and by her mandate to ensure a bridge between youth and adult services provided to clients by the first psychotic episode program at Montreal Children's Hospital and the Allan Memorial Institute.

Gavin is registered with the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing from McGill University in 2019. His mental health journey started in the inpatient care unit and brief intervention unit at Lakeshore General Hospital. In 2022, he went on to work in the outpatient psychiatry department at the McGill University Health Centre and worked in clinics with clients in early psychosis (EPIC) and with chronic schizophrenia (STS). He now joins the PEPP clinic as one of the case managers in the team.

Anne graduated from Athabasca University in 2003 with a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Initial years of work experience were  at the Royal Victoria Hospital in various area of surgery. Then went on to work at the AMI in patient department for a couple of years.  In 2012, started working in EPIC/ STS clinics in OPD.  Recently joined PEPP in April 2024

Daanish Mansoory graduated with a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from the University of Ottawa in 2010. He is a registered Occupational Therapist with the Ordre des Ergotherapeutes du Quebec (OEQ).

Over the past 11 years, Daanish has worked with a variety of populations in diverse settings such as schools, CLSC's, pediatric rehabilitation centres and more. During the last 6 years, Daanish has specifically worked in mental health at the MUHC in a variety of clinics including the Day Hospital program, the STS clinic, the Griffith Edwards Addictions Unit and in both Early Psychosis clinics ( PEPP & EPIC). He has experience doing both individual and group therapy.

Daanish is the OT Mental Health Clinical Coordinator at the MUHC. He is also an OT Student Mentor & Faculty Lecturer at the McGill School of Physical and Occupational Therapy.

Graduate of Université Laval in Sainte-Foy in 1985.  Initial years of experience were at the Montreal General Hospital in geriatric rehabilitation, cardiovascular thoracic surgery and coronary intensive care units.  In 1991, she began her journey in psychiatry at the MGH in-patient ward, then to psychiatry out-patient and rehabilitation services for psychotic disorders since 2007.  Recently has joined PEPP in October 2021.

Jonas has worked in a variety of clinical settings from the Montreal Children's Hospital, Homewood du Plateau rehab, addictions, and mental health centre, the Catherine Booth Hospital, and the MUHC SIM/PACT team.

Jonas is an active member in the community offering his time volunteering at St Ignatius of Loyola, Montreal, serving in programs such as Alpha, and other ministries. 

Jonas started his nursing practice in 2009 and obtained his Bachelor's of Science of Nursing from the University of Victoria in 2020.

Jingla graduated from her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from McGill University in 2021. She is a registered Occupational Therapist with the Ordre des Ergothérapeutes du Quebec.

Jingla has been working as an occupational therapist within the MUHC since 2022. Jingla has worked in various clinics within the MUHC's Mental Health Mission such as In-Patient Psychiatry, Mood and Anxiety Program, Schizophrenia Tertiary Services, and more recently PEPP.

Leandro graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. He is a registered social worker with the Ordre des Travailleurs Sociaux et des Thérapeutes Conjugaux et Familiaux du Québec. Leandro has many years of experience working with families and children, as well as in public health and harm reduction. Leandro speaks English, Portuguese, French, and is conversational in Spanish. He has been working with the PEPP team since 2024.
