COVID-19 : Five outbreaks at the MUHC

There are currently 5 outbreaks at the MUHC. Two at the Montreal General Hospital (fewer than 5 patients and fewer than 5 healthcare workers) two at Royal Victoria Hospital (fewer than 5 patients and fewer than 5 healthcare workers) and one at the Neuro (fewer than 5 healthcare workers).

All patients who may have been exposed to infected individuals will be tested, placed in protective isolation and actively monitored for symptoms.

All employees who may have been exposed have been placed in quarantine.

In accordance with the COVID-19 protocols, the Infection Prevention and Control (ICP) department and Human Resources teams are conducting an epidemiological investigation to trace close contacts of infected individuals.
