Psychosocial Oncology

The Psychosocial Oncology (PSO) program at the McGill University Health Center (MUHC) was officially launched in January 2008 under the Cancer Care Mission.  This program was developed to offer professional services to cancer patients followed at the MUHC oncology clinics.

Services are also available to family members, and every year approximately 600-700 patients/family members are referred to our services.

The PSO program works collaboratively with other health care members in the oncology clinics including;

  • oncologists
  • radio-oncologists
  • nurses
  • social workers and others.

A team of professionals is available to address the concerns you may have about living and coping with cancer.
