Visits from caregivers reinstated on the 2nd floor of Camille Lefebvre Pavilion

On October 22nd, a significant exposure to COVID-19 forced us to interrupt caregiver visits to the 2nd floor of Camille Lefebvre Pavilion of the Lachine Hospital.  In accordance with the COVID-19 protocols, the Infection Prevention and Control (ICP) department and Human Resources teams conducted an epidemiological investigation to trace close contacts of infected individuals.

The investigation concluded that no outbreak occurred since no patients were infected with the virus.  This is a concrete example of how infection control measures prevent the spread of the virus.  We are now reinstating visits from caregivers to the residents on the 2nd floor of the Camille Lefebvre Pavilion.

Thank you to everyone involved for their collaboration throughout the process.
