COVID-19 exposure: the 2nd floor of Camille Lefebvre Pavilion closed to visits from caregivers
A significant exposure to COVID-19 forces us to interrupt caregiver visits to the 2nd floor of Camille Lefebvre Pavilion of the Lachine Hospital as of Thursday, October 22, 2020, for a minimum period of two weeks.
- Two staff members were confirmed positive
- At this time, a total of 4 MUHC staff members have been quarantined
- In addition, all patients who may have been exposed to infected individuals will be tested, placed in protective isolation and actively monitored for symptoms.
The care team on the 2nd floor is strictly adhering to infection control measures to reduce internal transmission.
In accordance with the COVID-19 protocols, the Infection Prevention and Control (ICP) department and Human Resources teams are conducting an epidemiological investigation to trace close contacts of infected individuals.
Public health authorities from the Quebec government have been notified.
