Vaccination of essential workers in environments at high risk of an outbreak will begin by appointment only on Monday, April 12 at our clinics at the Glen site and the Montreal General Hospital. If you are in this category, you can book an appointment today on Clic Santé: Quebec.ca/covidvaccine
The following workers in environments at high risk of an outbreak are included in priority group 9:
- primary and secondary school staff;
- staff in childcare facilities (daycare centres, childcare centres, etc.);
- public safety workers (firefighters, police officers, detention centres, etc.);
- community workers in contact with high-risk patients, such as outreach staff dealing with mental health, homelessness and drug abuse issues;
- temporary foreign farm workers;
- slaughterhouse workers;
- mining workers in remote areas;
- community organization workers supported by the Programme de soutien aux organismes communautaires (PSOC).
Note: You must bring proof of employment to your appointment (employee identity card, payslip, T4)
Vaccination for healthcare and social services workers, who until now have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 (phase 2), is now underway throughout Quebec
Anyone who has direct contact with patients as part of their work activities can make an appointment at the Glen or Montreal General Hospital vaccination clinics. If you are in this category, you can book an appointment today on Clic Santé: Quebec.ca/covidvaccine
This includes but is not limited to:
- network staff who were not included in Phase 1
- Privately employed health and social service workers, for example in:
- dental clinics
- family medicine
- private medical clinics
- pharmacies
- psychology clinics
- optometry clinics
- physiotherapy clinics
- audioprosthesist clinics
- this also includes technical personnel
- Community outreach workers who come into contact with high-risk patients, such as street workers in mental health, homelessness and addiction.
Note: You must provide proof of employment. This can be proof of membership to a professional order, an employee photo I.D. card, a pay stub or a letter from your employer stating your job title.
