Our Division is responsible for maintaining an up-to-date hospital laboratory. This includes a highly automated robotic line for blood analysis, mass spectrometers and high-performance liquid chromatography (machines used to perform chemical analysis of blood and urine samples), and real-time PCR (technique used to quantify DNA).
The various members of our Division are involved in research aimed at the understanding:
- lipid disorders,
- immunology,
- bone metabolism and inborn errors of metabolism.
We also pursue studies aimed at improving laboratory performance.
