The sarcoma clinic has various ongoing clinical research projects, which are managed by the dedicated clinical research coordinators. These include wound care studies, post-operative functional outcome studies, antibiotic studies to reduce the risk of infection, tissue biobanking, and health-related patient reported outcomes (PROs). For more information and if you would like to participate in a research study, please ask your treating physician or research coordinator during your visit.
Currently, our research team is looking to develop a disease-specific health-related quality of life measure for extremity soft tissue sarcomas. This project involves defining the specific needs of our sarcoma patient population through in–person and e-focus groups, for the purpose of developing and testing a cross-sectional survey to measure health-related quality of life indicators.
