Prestigious award for pediatric cancer specialist Nada Jabado
Dr. Nada Jabado, Canada Research Chair in Pediatric Oncology, Senior Scientist at the RI-MUHC and Pediatric Hemato-Oncologist at the Montreal Children's Hospital, has been named L'Oréal-UNESCO Laureate for Women in Science 2024 for North America. Beware of type 2 diabetes if you have had gestational diabetes
A recent study led by Dr. Kaberi Dasgupta at the RI-MUHC revealed that the risk of developing type 2 diabetes is increased in women who first get gestational diabetes during a second pregnancy, and that it increases even more for those who get it during two consecutive pregnancies. First measles-related death since 1989 in Ontario
