More carriers of 12 rare genetic diseases in Saguenay–Lac-St-Jean
According to new research published in the American Journal of Medical Genetics, 12 rare genetic disorders are much more frequent in the Saguenay population than anywhere in the world. Dr. Tania Cruz-Mariño, a medical geneticist who recently joined the MUHC and the first author of the study, explained these new findings to City News. A friendship born out of adversity
