Can arthrosis be prevented?
MUHC rheumatologist Dr. Evelyne Vinet talks to La Presse about osteoarthritis. She explains that, while there are genetic predispositions for certain types of osteoarthritis, it is possible to prevent or lessen the symptoms of other forms of the disease, notably through physical exercise, weight loss if you're overweight or maintaining a healthy weight, and avoiding joint injuries when you're young.
