What we do

The Cancer Care Mission (CCM) Quality Improvement Steering Committee (QISC) helps improve cancer care and safety of patients.

How we improve cancer care

We work on improving the skills and knowledge of healthcare providers who treat cancer.

This includes:

  • offering continuing education
  • helping them grow in their careers
  • creating a space where expertise is valued

We are committed to keeping every patient safe and well cared for.

Our team focuses on:

  • using the best practices to treat patients
    • “Best practices” means that healthcare providers use the best available information to provide high quality of care.
  • finding potential risks
  • making sure the hospital is safe for patients so they can get the best results out of their care and treatment

We believe good communication is key.  We make sure that healthcare providers, patients, and their families talk openly and clearly.

We use feedback from patients to better understand their points of view. By including patients in their own care, we aim to improve the quality of cancer care.

Join us in our effort to increase the use of best practices in cancer care. Together, we can create a better future for our patients and our healthcare providers.
